I am thrilled by the news that the Spring 2026 Edition of The Brussels Review is alive. It features two (2) short stories of mine.
“A Child’s Christmas in Ohio” is set in the early 1970s.
President Nixon bombed Hanoi for Christmas when I was eleven years old.
How’s that for a first line grabber? I don’t want to give too much away. It’s not about war, but it is about the profound truths we sometimes face in childhood.
“Gracie” is a short study of the struggle to communicate under the weight of grief.
